This is my photo, used in an ad for Paa-ko Golf Communities. It ran in the 2011 Santa Fe Opera program. All work on this image was accomplished in Photoshop. There are no gross adjustments or manipulations here but simply the layering of information accumulated in various exposures over time. Because we are familiar with ‘day for night’ from the film and video world, I shot the raking sunlight at the end of the day first, then the lit house, then shot the sky and finally the stars. Each was composited together while changing the warm sunlight to a cool moonlit look to add drama and articulate the golf course.
